I'm Ailbhe, a female ADI approved instructor. I've been teaching learners in Wicklow and Dún Laoghaire for years.
Most people who ring me are nervous about one particular thing. They've never sat behind the wheel, or they didn't get on with a previous instructor, or they have a test date coming and the manoeuvres have gone to pieces. We start from wherever that is, at whatever pace it takes.
After every lesson I send you notes on what we covered and what to practise before the next one. I'll tell you why a thing is done the way it's done, because the rules you understand are the ones you can still find on test day, when someone is sitting beside you with a clipboard.
That holds whether you need the full twelve EDT lessons, a pretest before a booked date, or a few refresher hours after years out of a car.
Why learn with me
No rushing, no shouting
I never rush anyone and I never raise my voice. If a thing takes five lessons instead of two, it takes five lessons, and I teach it whatever way works for you.
Taught on the test roads
Lessons work through the manoeuvres and the roads the test actually uses, so test day is not the first time you meet either.
Notes after every lesson
Most of what you learn happens between lessons. The notes tell you exactly what to work on with that time.
If driving frightens you
Plenty of people come to me after a bad experience elsewhere, or after years of putting it off. We start on quiet roads and stay there until you want to leave them.
